The system features the Apple M4 10-Core Chip, which provides the power and performance efficiency needed to handle all your creative workflows. Now built on 3nm process technology, the M4 10-Core Chip is combined with a 10-Core GPU. The next-gen GPU features Dynamic Caching, hardware-accelerated ray tracing, and mesh shading, all of which significantly increase performance for the most demanding creative apps and games. Also featured is a 16-core Neural Engine with Apple Intelligence, a personal intelligence system that transforms how users work, communicate, and express themselves, all while protecting their privacy.

The 14.2″ Liquid Retina XDR display features a 3024 x 1964 resolution, 1000 nits of sustained brightness, 1600 nits of peak brightness, P3 color gamut support, and more. With 16GB of unified RAM and 1TB of SSD storage, you’ll be able to load massive files and launch apps quickly, enabling you to work with photo and video libraries from almost anywhere. The 12MP Center Stage camera delivers enhanced video quality in challenging lighting conditions and automatically keeps you centered in the frame. The M4 MacBook Pro now features three Thunderbolt 4 ports.

The M4 chip brings a performance boost to the MacBook Pro. Featuring a faster 10-Core CPU and 120 GB/s of memory bandwidth, the MacBook Pro is up to 1.8x faster than MacBook Pro with M1. With M4, this MacBook Pro is up to 1.8x faster than the 13″ MacBook Pro with M1 for tasks like editing gigapixel photos, and even more demanding workloads, like rendering complex scenes in Blender, are up to 3.4x faster. And with a powerful GPU, featuring Apple’s advanced graphics architecture, this MacBook Pro comes with 16GB of faster unified memory. The Neural Engine in the M4 is now over 3x faster than in M1, making it a solid option for AI, and accelerating the pace at which users can get things done.
14.2″ Liquid Retina XDR Display
Featuring mini-LED technology, this MacBook Pro houses a 14.2″ Liquid Retina XDR display. Delivering up to 1000 cd/m² of sustained, full-screen brightness, a high 1600 cd/m² of peak brightness, a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and a billion colors, the Liquid Retina XDR display can handle the extreme dynamic range of HDR content, providing detailed shadows, brilliant specular highlights, deeper blacks, and vivid colors. The display is less than 4mm thin, which is achieved by having seven films and diffusers that mix and shape the light efficiently. The oxide thin film transistor (TFT) allows pixels to charge twice as fast as before.
ProMotion, up to 120 Hz Refresh Rate
With ProMotion technology, the MacBook Pro automatically varies the refresh rate to match the motion of your onscreen content. This helps preserve battery life while also making tasks feel more fluid and responsive. This means that the display can have up to a 120 Hz refresh rate. Video editors will also have the option to lock in a refresh rate that is optimal for their footage.
P3 Wide Color Gamut
The narrow-band LED-powered backlight allows the MacBook Pro to represent the P3 wide color gamut for brilliant, true-to-life color in photos and videos.

A New Era with Apple Intelligence on the Mac
Apple Intelligence harnesses the power of Apple Silicon and the Neural Engine to unlock new ways for users to work, communicate, and express themselves on Mac. It is available in U.S. English with macOS Sequoia 15.1. With systemwide Writing Tools, users can refine their words by rewriting, proofreading, and summarizing text nearly everywhere they write. With the newly redesigned Siri, users can move fluidly between spoken and typed requests to accelerate tasks throughout their day, and Siri can answer thousands of questions about Mac and other Apple products. New Apple Intelligence features will be available in December, with additional capabilities rolling out in the coming months. Image Playground gives users a new way to create fun original images, and Genmoji allows them to create custom emoji in seconds. Siri will become even more capable, with the ability to take actions across the system and draw on a user’s personal context to deliver intelligence that is tailored to them. In December, ChatGPT will be integrated into Siri and Writing Tools, allowing users to access its expertise without needing to jump between tools.

Apple Intelligence does all this while protecting users’ privacy at every step. At its core, is on-device processing, and for more complex tasks, Private Cloud Compute gives users access to Apple’s even larger, server-based models and offers groundbreaking protections for personal information. In addition, users can access ChatGPT for free without creating an account, and privacy protections are built in—their IP addresses are obscured and OpenAI won’t store requests. For those who choose to connect their account, OpenAI’s data-use policies apply.
